Emera New Brunswick is committed to continuing consultation with stakeholders and the public. We believe it is important to maintain and develop relationships with existing and new landowners, residents and elected officials along the entire Brunswick Pipeline transmission route.
To help us better understand local interests during construction and the beginning of operations, Emera New Brunswick established two community liaison committees in 2007: the Saint John Brunswick Pipeline Community Liaison Committee in Saint John, and the Brunswick Pipeline Southwest New Brunswick Community Liaison Committee for the rural area. We also established the Rockwood Park Construction and Restoration Planning Consultative Committee in 2007, which helped develop a specialized construction and restoration plan for the 2.4 kilometres of the Brunswick Pipeline in Rockwood Park, and to also help determine and construct the best new Park trail location and design through community consultation.
Throughout operations, we continue to communicate with residents, elected officials and stakeholder on community issues.
