SAINT JOHN, NB: Brunswick Pipeline announced today that it has established a community liaison committee for Saint John, with 10 volunteer members representing a broad range of interests and geographic areas within Saint John. A Southwest NB Community Liaison Committee will also be convened over the next few weeks.
“We believe that both committees will help broaden our understanding of community interests, and will complement our other public consultation and communication activities," said Susan Harris, Community Relations Manager. "Throughout every phase of the pipeline’s development – from planning through to operation – we will work closely with the liaison committees to ensure public participation and input on community issues."
The Saint John liaison committee held its first meeting on September 13 and will continue to meet regularly on every third Thursday of each month. Represented on the Saint John committee are:
- Tammy Calvin
- Gordon Dalzell
- Brian Fitzpatrick
- Claude MacKinnon
- Carmel McCaig
- Al McDougall
- Ellen Murphy
- Horst Sauerteig
- Christine Saumure
- S.M. Marguerite (Midge) Thompson
Members of the public interested in providing input to the liaison committee are encouraged to contact the volunteer members, or contact Brunswick Pipeline directly by calling the toll free line 1-888-491-3222 or send an email to emera.com.
