Operation and maintenance of the Brunswick Pipeline will be consistent with industry programs and practices followed by NEB-regulated pipeline companies in Canada.
Typical maintenance activities include, for example, annual above ground leak surveys, cathodic protection system maintenance and operational and safety inspections. Pipeline valves and above-ground facilities will be checked regularly to ensure safety and integrity.
The pipeline right-of-way is clearly marked at roads, railroad and navigable water crossings. To reduce the risk of damage or interference as a result of construction activities and landowner work, signage has been located at regular intervals along the pipeline route. Signage is also in place to facilitate rapid identification of the pipeline during aerial surveillance.
Brunswick Pipeline will maintain ongoing contact with the community, landowners, and businesses through pipeline safety and public education programs.
