Chris Huskilson, Chairman
President and CEO, Emera Inc., Halifax, Nova Scotia
Chris has been a director and the president and chief executive officer of Emera Inc. since November 2004. He is also a director of Nova Scotia Power Inc. and chairman of Bangor Hydro-Electric Company. He has held a number of other positions within Nova Scotia Power Inc. and its predecessor, Nova Scotia Power Corporation, since joining the company in 1980.
As well as serving as either chair or director of a number of other Emera-affiliated companies, Chris also dedicates his time to such external organizations as the Greater Halifax Partnership, the Nova Scotia Community College and the Energy Council of Canada. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a Master of Science in Engineering from the University of New Brunswick.

Nancy Tower, Treasurer
Chief Financial Officer, Emera Inc., Halifax, Nova Scotia

Nancy became chief financial officer of Emera Inc. in 2005, after holding senior positions at NSPI in corporate finance and operations including controller and, most recently, vice president of customer operations. Prior to joining Emera, Nancy worked with Grant Thornton, A.I. Tower and Ernst & Young. Throughout her career, Nancy has consistently demonstrated strong leadership skills and solid financial acumen.

Nancy enjoys giving back to her community. She is a leader in our community, currently serving on the Board of Trustees of the QEII Foundation, the Board of Directors of Nova Scotia Business Inc., and the Board of Directors of CAA Atlantic.  Nancy is the former Chair of the Nova Scotia Institute of Chartered Accountants and is a graduate of Dalhousie University.

Stephen Aftanas, Secretary
Corporate Secretary, Emera Inc., Halifax, Nova Scotia

Stephen became the Corporate Secretary for Emera Inc. and Nova Scotia Power Inc. in 2008. Previously Stephen held the position of Associate Corporate Secretary, prior to that he served as Associate General Counsel for Nova Scotia Power and Senior Solicitor, Emera.
Before joining Emera in 2002, Stephen practiced corporate and commercial law as a partner with a Halifax law firm. Stephen practiced law in Winnipeg for several years prior to relocating to Halifax. An active member of the community, Stephen is past Chair of the Board of Governors of the Art Gallery of Nova Scotia.

Patrick (Pat) Darrah, External MemberA life-long Saint Johner and graduate of St. Malachy’s High School, Pat has been the Executive Director of the Saint John Construction Association since 1969. He manages government and public relations as well as industrial relations, including negotiating for employers with seven provincial and three local Building Trades unions.  Pat is a very active volunteer, sitting on the Board of Directors of the Construction Association of New Brunswick Inc., the Construction Sector Council of Canada and other construction and labour related organizations.  Within the community, he is Chair of the Jeux Canada Games Foundation and sits on the Board of Directors of the Imperial Theatre Foundation, among others.

Roxanne R. Fairweather, External MemberPresident and CEO of Innovatia, Roxanne has worked in the New Brunswick telecommunications industry since 1985 when she graduated from the University of Toronto.  She worked 10 years with then-named NB Tel, directed marketing for New North Media, and held the positions of General Manager of NB Tel Mobility and President Aliant Wireless before moving to Innovatia in 2001. More recently Roxanne, together with partner  David Grebenc, have acquired Innovatia from Bell Aliant. Roxanne’s community involvements include Vice Chair of the Board of Governors of the University of New Brunswick, Board of Director for LearnSphere, founding member and Director of CORE as well as a founding member of PropelSJ. Roxanne is a native of Saint John and passionate about the academic and economic growth of New Brunswick.

Daryl Wilson, FCA, External MemberNow an entrepreneur, Daryl began his career in finance with Clarkson Gordon (now Ernst & Young).  He held the position of Auditor General of the Province of New Brunswick and Commissioner of Finance for the City of Saint John, and has been and continues to be active in the community. Currently, Daryl sits on the Boards of Enterprise Saint John, the Business Community Anti-Poverty Initiative (BCAPI), Saint John Canada Games Foundation and the Saint John Waterfront Development Corporation. Daryl also chairs the Saint John Board of Trade’s Retail Forum.  He provides consulting services and training on board governance and pension plan administration.  Daryl is the owner of Alternatives, a Saint John retail store that sells heating products and bicycles.

Robin McAdam, Board Officer
Executive Vice President of Sustainability, Nova Scotia Power Inc., Halifax, Nova Scotia

Robin is past president of Emera’s Brunswick Pipeline and also previously held the position of director of Emera corporate development, where he worked on various development projects and was project manager for the Northeast Reliability Interconnect. Prior to joining Emera, Robin was principal in charge of KPMG's Atlantic Canadian Business Strategy Consulting Practice.

Robin has a B.B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University and an M.B.A. from Queen's University.

Rob Belliveau, P. Eng., Board Officer
General Manager, Emera Brunswick Pipeline Company Ltd., Saint John, New Brunswick

A resident of Quispamsis, NB, Rob joined the Brunswick Pipeline team in December 2008.  He is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier and Dalhousie Universities.  Rob is a Professional Engineer and has been a member of the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick since 1994.

Rob began his career in the energy sector and brings more than twenty-five years of experience in operations, management and process control experience.  He has worked in a broad range of environments across Canada but has been based in the Maritimes for more than 20 years.

Rob is active in the community, and a sports and fitness enthusiast.  He is a co-chair of the Business and Community Development Committee of the Saint John Board of Trade, and a member of the board of directors for the Atlantica Centre for Energy. Rob also coaches minor hockey and minor baseball, and is a past member of the Board of the Kennebecasis Valley Minor Hockey Association.
