NOTICE OF NATURAL GAS FACILITY MAINTENANCE

Brunswick Pipeline advises that maintenance work will take place at the Red Head meter station tomorrow, Wednesday, September 30, 2009,beginning at approximately 1:00 p.m.

Replacement of several pieces of equipment on the odorant system will require evacuating the gas from the meter station, which may result in residents detecting a “rotten egg” smell.  To minimize this possibility of an odor release, a flare stack will be used to burn off the gas.  The flame may be visible to nearby residents.

An eight-hour shutdown has been planned in conjunction with Canaport LNG operations.  Work will be completed by experienced technicians, and the Saint John Fire Department has been notified of the work.  There will be no danger to the public or to staff.

Residents with questions are asked to contact Brunswick Pipeline Operations by leaving a message on our toll-free phone line, 1-888-410-2220.  The call will be returned to answer questions and address any concerns.
