Suspect a pipeline leak?

While it is very unlikely, natural gas can be released if something causes a leak in the Brunswick Pipeline.  If you suspect a natural gas leak , we recommend the following:

  1. DO CALL 911.  They will contact the pipeline company as well as emergency responders.
  2. DO CALL Brunswick Pipeline operations at 1-888-410-2220.
  3. DO AVOID sparking any open flames or other sources of ignition, such as cigarettes, matches, lights or stoves, etc.
  4. DON’T start up or shut down motor vehicles or electrical equipment.
  5. DON’T attempt to operate pipeline valves.
  6. DON’T attempt to extinguish a natural gas fire yourself.
  7. DO listen to your radio for information updates from emergency response agencies.
  8. If you detect the smell of natural gas (strong rotten eggs) in your home, leave if you can safely do so, regardless of whether or not you have natural gas service in your home.
